The Brockton Regional Veterans Service Council (BRVSC) is an effort to promote the well-being of our Veterans, by connecting them with resources upon transitioning back into the community. Through our quarterly meetings, Veterans service providers and partner members connect with local resources to share best practices and updates with their organizations.  Reintegration during post-deployment is a critical time for Veterans, as they often live far from military installations and members of their communities.  Partners attend BRVSC events where they can access information on health care, education/training opportunities, financial, and legal benefits. We work in conjunction with all community, state, and federal partners, including the MassHire Greater Brockton Career Center and Department of Veterans Affairs, to provide up-to-date and relevant information to the members of the all-volunteer council and like minded partners. This council is taking pre-emptive measures to meet the needs of all discharged service member and relieve stress on families.  In this effort we try to coordinate Vet Support Agencies by providing structure, focus, guidance and to avoid duplication of efforts.  Each meeting will have subject matter experts provide information on their organization and referral services insuring complete confidentiality throughout.  We will coordinate attendance and support of all Veterans’ Support Agencies representatives serving as breakout session presenters or table-top presenters.  Each presenter will have allotted time to discuss their organization and be able to provide materials to attendees. Each meeting will convene quarterly on the third Tuesday from 10:00am until approximately 2:00pm.  The meeting place will shift within the region to increase exposure to each Veterans service partners organizations facility.
