Initiated through the MA Workforce Skills Cabinet, the Southeast Data package allows the region to update contextual regional labor market information while confirming regional high priority industries and occupations. The report will guide us in evaluating new demographic, labor pool, and talent pipeline considerations impacting workforce skill gaps. The package also utilizes new data tools that can be customized by region. The collaborative approach by labor & workforce development, education and economic development, offers an opportunity to potential partnerships for developing our workforce.
As an extension of the 2019 data package update, a set of new dynamic data tools have been developed to support regional planning work. These tools are intended to act as a resource for users to compare data across regions and generate insights beyond the analysis in their regional data package, Apprenticeships. Managed by the Executive Office of Labor & Workforce Development, this data is designed to assist in the forecasting and skill development needed for a strong economy.
